Early voting for the Nov. 3 election opens Tuesday, Oct. 13, and runs through Friday, Oct. 30. State law requires counties to offer Saturday voting on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24. Sunday voting on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 is up to each county, according to the state’s 2026 elections calendar, which cites O.C.G.A. § 21-2-385(d).
Voters in Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb and DeKalb counties can use any early voting site in their county during the early voting period. On Election Day, Fulton voters must vote at their assigned polling place [1]. Each county sets its own sites and hours:
- Fulton County: weekdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m. Outreach sites are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Georgia Tech on Oct. 14 and 15, at Georgia State on Oct. 20 and 21, and at Friendship Baptist Church, for Atlanta University Center students, on Oct. 27 and 28 [1].
- Cobb County: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 30, Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays noon to 5 p.m. at select sites [2].
- DeKalb County: weekdays 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays noon to 6 p.m. [3]
- Gwinnett County: 13 early voting sites, open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Oct. 13 through Oct. 30 [4].
Fulton County voters will find absentee ballot drop boxes at seven early voting sites, and absentee-by-mail ballots cannot be returned at an Election Day polling place [1]. DeKalb voters can find their nearest early voting site and its hours at DeKalbVotes.com [3]. Gwinnett and Cobb list every site and mark which have drop boxes [2][4].
Two other dates matter. The deadline to register for the November election was Oct. 5. Voters who want an absentee ballot by mail have until Oct. 23 to request one [5].
