Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how GApolitics LLC (“GApolitics LLC,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information from visitors to GApolitics.com (the “Site”). GApolitics is published by GApolitics LLC.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few limited ways:

  • Voter Guide sign-up. When you sign up for the Voter Guide, we collect the name, home address and email address you give, and your choice about receiving GApolitics Daily by email.
  • Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to GApolitics Daily, we collect the email address you provide. We use it only to send the newsletter and do not sell or rent it to third parties.
  • Tips and submissions. We collect anything you email to News@GApolitics.com, such as tips or campaign mail pieces, including whatever contact information you choose to provide. Source identities are not disclosed without consent, as described in our Editorial Standards.
  • Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and site operation. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers; if that changes, this policy will be updated to name the specific service and what it collects before it goes live.
  • One cookie. After you sign up for the Voter Guide, the site sets one cookie, gp_vg_signed_up, that hides the Voter Guide banner on your browser.

Voter Guide and sign-ups

When you sign up for the Voter Guide, we collect your name, home address and email address, and whether you want GApolitics Daily by email. We use them to build your voter guide, to email it to you when it is ready, and, if you leave the box checked, to send you GApolitics Daily. We store this information in our Google Workspace account, and only GApolitics LLC staff can see it. We do not sell or rent your name, address or email address. We keep your information until you ask us to remove it. To remove it, write to News@GApolitics.com from the address you signed up with, and we will delete it from our active records within 30 days. Copies in backups or version history may remain for a limited period. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate the site, deliver the newsletter to subscribers, respond to tips and inquiries, and maintain site security. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

The site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality (such as remembering a logged-in session for site administrators). It sets one other cookie, gp_vg_signed_up, only after you sign up for the Voter Guide, to hide the Voter Guide banner on your browser. It does not currently set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children’s privacy

GApolitics LLC is a general-audience news site not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue. To ask what information we hold about you or to request its deletion, contact us using the email below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be noted with an updated “last updated” date above.
