Five sales tax questions on the Nov. 3 ballot in Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb and Henry counties would each renew a tax that shoppers already pay, for up to five or six years. A no vote would let it end when the current tax expires. Early voting ends Oct. 30 [1].

Fulton: two questions. A 1% school tax could raise up to $2.1 billion, and, outside Atlanta, a 0.75% road tax is projected at about $650 million. Full Fulton story.

Cobb: a 1% tax of about $1.15 billion for roads, parks and a new State Court building, collected from 2028 through 2033. Full Cobb story.

DeKalb: a 1% school tax of up to $1.05 billion. If a majority of voters in the DeKalb County School District say yes, DeKalb schools could also borrow up to $500 million. Full DeKalb story.

Henry: a 1% road tax of about $330 million, with up to $80 million in county borrowing.
