John F. King is the incumbent Republican Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire of Georgia, first elected in 2018 and seeking reelection in 2026. A retired U.S. Army major general and former Doraville police chief, he was the first Hispanic official elected to statewide office in Georgia. He briefly ran for U.S. Senate in 2025 before returning to his reelection campaign.
